SEJARAH TURKI
Hay guys,
This time I will share knowledge articles, which may add to our insights
"Sinking Palace in Turkey"
Taking a walk around the palace would be nice, right? Hmm ... But, what if walking in the palace sank? Will it be fun too?
Since the 6th century
Basilica Cistern, this is the name of the "Sink Palace". It is located not far from the city of Istanbul, Turkey. This palace was built in the sixth century of the kingdom of Bzyantium. Historically, this place was forgotten, when the empire led by emperor Justinianu fell to the enemy. However, in 1545, this historical place was found again. At least 7,000 workers need to build this place.
Fill in the Building
Shh ... even though it was nicknamed a drowning palace, but this palace had a fairness. The building area of the Basilica Cistern reaches 9,800 square meters. There are 336 pillars in it. These poles function as building supports.
Oh yes, this building is located 24 meters below the city of Istanbul. Well, if you want to visit here, we have to go down the stairs that are already available there. Don't worry, this place is equipped with adequate lighting. So there's no need to be afraid, huh! Eits, there's no need to be afraid too, when you see a pillar with a medusa head. You know, right, medusa, the snake-haired woman is in an ancient fairy tale.
Water Saving Place
There is one more that makes this palace special. Once upon a time, the Basilica Cistern building was used as a place to store water. Some people call this place a reservoir. This place can hold up to 10,000 tons of water. Wiiiiih ..... The water that is collected here, comes from the Belgrade forest, flows through a 19 km long water bridge.
Since 1987, this building is open to the public as one of the world heritage
Enough articles from me, hopefully useful ...
